Check and recover
Inspect the saved task and evidence before continuing. Preserve newer work when something disagrees.
Fresh-session check
- Correct work-team folder and active task ID
- AGENTS.md and applicable bridge actually loaded
- One task header for current revision, status, and next
- Brief, Done when, Work log, and Handoff present
- Named artifact opens and agrees with verification evidence
- Unfinished work can be reconstructed without inventing missing facts
If state is missing or contradictory
- Pause canonical writes and preserve the task, artifacts, and returned proposals.
- Read the last valid task record and inspect newer artifacts by content and evidence.
- Reconcile with the owner when authority or intent is unclear.
- Save an agreed new revision, validate if available, and read it back.
- Record what was recovered, what remains uncertain, and how continuation was checked.
Do not guess a missing next action from an old conversation. A manual inspection must remain labeled manual.
What is verified here
Website tests check rendering, links, copy behavior, the structural validator, and packaged reference files. They do not prove that a chosen product created the files, loaded the instructions, resisted the fixture, enforced a boundary, or resumed correctly.
Controlled interrupted-save and competing-writer tests are planned in Guide 2. Do not kill a normal working session to simulate them.
